Highlights from BMUS Conference 2024
In December 2024, our team at Multi-Medix attended the BMUS Conference in Coventry.
As the most prominent event in the UK ultrasound community, BMUS provided a perfect platform for sonographers, manufacturers, researchers, and innovators to come together. We’re thrilled to share some of the highlights of our experience, from networking with industry leaders to showcasing our latest advancements.
Connections
BMUS conference in a unique opportunity to listen and learn – whether it was by meeting seasoned experts, trainee sonographers or attending the plenary sessions, the conversations were rich and inspiring. It is always interesting to see how the field continues to evolve and the new challenges professionals are tackling together. We met old friend and made a new ones too: The relationships we built at BMUS will no doubt help drive our mission forward as we look toward the future of ultrasound technology.
Showcasing Our New Phantom:
In particular, we were excited to showcase our new phantom—a product that we believe will revolutionise the testing of ultrasound systems. At the conference, attendees had the chance to see the phantom in action through live demonstrations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and we were thrilled by the enthusiasm for a product that we believe will have a transformative impact on the field of ultrasound. We’re hopeful that this new phantom, which we plan to launch later in 2025, will support ultrasound professionals in enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of their testing processes. Engaging with Attendees on Ultrasound QA:
Throughout the conference, many attendees stopped by our stand with questions about ultrasound QA and testing—whether they already had a QA testing programme in place or were just getting started. As leaders in this field, we’re always happy to help with demonstrations and offer expert advice. It was fantastic to connect with so many professionals seeking to improve their QA processes.
We were also excited to see so many people sign up for our popular Probe Care Essentials Course, which we deliver around the country for just £25 per delegate. In just one hour, delegates gain a solid understanding of the basics of ultrasound QA and have the opportunity to earn CPD credits. We’re proud to continue offering this invaluable training, helping professionals enhance their skills and keep their systems in top shape.
Celebrating Dr. Nick Dudley’s Honorary BMUS Membership Award:
A special moment at this year’s BMUS conference was celebrating Dr. Nick Dudley’s well-deserved BMUS Award. We have the pleasure of a long-standing friendship with Dr. Dudley, who has been our research director and was a pioneer in ultrasound QA practice worldwide. His contributions to the field have shaped the way we approach quality assurance in ultrasound, and it fantastic to see his hard work and dedication recognised. Congratulations, Dr. Dudley—this award is a testament to your incredible impact on the field
Looking Ahead to 2025:
As we left Coventry, we look forward to the official launch of the phantom later in 2025. We believe that this product will be a game-changer for ultrasound imaging, and the BMUS conference has only fueled our anticipation. Stay tuned as we prepare to share more details in the months to come.
